Confessions

1. I make my kids drink soy milk because the proverbial “they” said humans can’t digest milk properly. I don’t drink it because I think it smells strange.

2. I read my boyfriend’s ex’s blog regularly. I really want to know as much about the one he loves without having to ask.

3. I watch The Fairly Odd Parents and RugRats when my kids aren’t around.

4. I draw and write things I love, then rip them up because I’m afraid someone else will find them and not.

5. I have fantastic hearing, but I pretend not to hear things just to hear them said again.

6. I love to hear compliments, but I have no idea how to accept them. I deny them incessently to compensate.

7. I don’t have a favorite movie.

8. I throw away greeting cards.

9. Creativity and beauty are two things I’ve always been told I posess, have never felt, and have always longed for.

10. I do unorthodox things just to try to bond with my dad: played Freshman football, worked on cars, smoked cigars, drank red wine.

11. Hats and helmets, the smell of a mechanic, cigar smoke, and red wine give me migranes.

12. I am afraid of anxious about the dark.

13. I love great sex.

14. I’ve never had a real __________ (Thank you!)

15. I really, really want to love running, but I truly hate every moment of it.

16. I don’t want to be famous, but I do want to be noted.

17. I’ve been to the top of an active volcano (Mt. Etna) and still have ash on my boots.

18. The coolest thing I’ve ever done is skydive from 12,500 ft. I came out with five stitiches and a concussion, but I’d do it again in a second.

19. I once saved a small lost child in a shopping mall a week before Christmas as he was heading for the door outside.

20. I am totally beside myself with Christmas spirit every year, starting around November 1st.

21. I set at least two presets to Christmas music every year.

22. I am always discouraged come December 26th.

23. I love animals, but am a horrible pet owner.

24. I am a total geek for organizers, pens, pencils, pads of paper, office and school supplies, and stationary.

25. I have never made it through a year with an organizer. I have dozens of pens, pencils, pads of paper, office and school supplies and stationary sitting around the house unused.

26. I constantly write out the alphabet, numbers, and names just for the feeling of pen on paper.

27. One of my favorite things is a long hot shower.

28. One of my least favorite things is shaving.

29. I gave my baby blanket to my son so that I could keep it around.

30. I have no traditions.

31. I love to dance, and I think I can.

32. I love to sing, but I know I can’t.

33. I know the words to an outragous number of songs.

34. I used to study Trivial Pursuit cards to make make myself look smarter when I played with other people. I don’t do it anymore. I actually do know all those worthless trival answers.

35. I’ve always wanted to write a book, but am too afraid someone I know will read it.

36. I would rather see the natural beauty in the jungles or deserts of Africa than the man-made sights of Europe.

37. I have no religion. I’ve dabbled in the Churches and beliefs of Mormons, Catholics, Christians (Lutherans, Wesleyans, Protestants), Buddhists, and even Muslims, but never cared enough to believe any of them.

38. I put statues of angels in my kids’ room “to watch over them,” and truly feel better with them there.

39. My family has a great family secret. It’s a historical scandal that crosses continents.

40. In truth, I don’t know if I’ve ever really been in love.

41. I sincerely believe there is good in all people.

42. I LOVE TATTOOS!

43. I put way too much stock in other people’s opinions.

44. My goal is to own every Disney movie released.

45. My collection of Disney movies started long before I even thought about having kids.

46. I love music

47. I love music…..LOUDLY

48. I have clinically bad judgement when it comes to men.

49. I almost never learn from my mistakes.

50. What I want most out of life is peace, and someone to share it with.

51.
