I have found this FABULOUS site/blog containing zenhabits…I don’t think I need to explain…and in an attempt to simplify my ever hectic and stressful life, I have been reading it religiously looking for pointers. ( I have also been surfing the IKEA webpage fantasizing about my new minimalist, zen-friendly, non-stressful environment furnishings
) The ironic thing about all this is while I am reading about single-tasking (vs. multi-tasking) and focusing on the present and all those other wonderful zen-tastic, life-simplifying things is that I find myself skimming. Skimming! How terrible is that. I am learning how to SINGLE-task and I am skimming to get on to the next subject so that I can finish the article with full (half) knowledge and move on to my next most pressing task, whatever that may be. Not very zen-tastic of me, I must say!
So here is my not-so-new-year’s resolution…pick one article, and go with it. I choose the decluttering article, as it is seems to be the most pressing non-zen area of my life. (see previous blog for details). When I have totally satisfied that area, I can move on to another. Of course, I’m not sure how completely healthy it is to plan one’s life around someone else’s blog……..-BUT, knowing me, this won’t last past throwing the old head of lettuce out of my refrigerator, so no worries!
